The Kick It 3v3 Soccer World Championships event will be held January 15-17, 2011 (Martin Luther King Jr Holiday Weekend) at the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, USA.

What’s New at the World Championships Event?

1)    QUALIFICATION FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FROM THE 3v3 WILDCARD TOURNAMENT

·         Teams that do not qualify for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS at the Regional Championships can still participate by qualifying through the 3v3 Wildcard Tournament.

·         The 3v3 Wildcard Tournament is a play-in tournament preceding the World Championships Event.

·         The 3v3 Wildcard Tournament is OPEN TO ALL TEAMS interested in playing at the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, USA.

·         The 3v3 Wildcard Tournament will be held the same weekend as the Kick It 3v3 World Championships: Friday and/or Saturday, January 14^th / 15^th, 2011; and advancing teams will play that same weekend in the Kick It 3v3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.

2)    Disney announces the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex at the Walt Disney World® Resort

·         We are very excited to announce that today’s Grand Opening of the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex will be streaming live on espn.com!  The Grand Opening, which officially starts at 6pm EST (virtually arrive early to catch all of the excitement of the Red Carpet!), will be live online at http://espn.go.com/livenow/etw/ for you to share this exciting and historic moment.
